I have had this lens for about 6 months. I was after reading some reviews Leary, but with several Sigma lenses with no problems, I decided to make the purchase. I am looking into about 800-1000 shots and I can honestly say that I am very satisfied with the performance, even though my Nikon lenses compared. I’m not saying it’s a hands down winner over comparable Nikons but I have definitely made a better outcome than desired, or at least one result better than expected in almost all Fällen.Ich have not yet focused on these themes on each of my cameras. It is not as fast as some others that I have, but it does the job I need it to do. Rating: 5.5

I bought this lens and it has never really focused auto so I sent it to Sigma to be repaired under warranty. Six weeks after the lens, they always get to say that the board is to repair the lens to backorders from Sigma Japan, and they can give me any idea when the lens is being repaired or even really have to be repaired. In the period since my 5-month-old lens, they offered me a better lens for almost four times the retail difference between the lens I bought and upgraded the lens upgrade. According to my research, Sigma has its parts inventory from the U.S. market moved so all parts come from Japan any repairs to their products a very tedious, time-consuming issue need. The other Sigma lenses I have not really focus properly while their visual field and do the lightning does not play well with the Nikon TTL system. So what, a 30% to 40% cheaper lens, generates out-of-focus pictures? Tom the Sigma CS service rep in NY is one of the most abrasive, condescending individuals I have ever talked to. I am a graduate from an accredited college of photography with over 20 years commercial and people photography and this man talked to me as if I was an inexperienced user buying my first “real” lens. My recommendation is that, is a Sigma product if you are considering buying, that you reconsider your decision. Brand products are usually more, but, in my opinion, they are worth the price on the long term. Rating: 5.1

I read the mixed reviews here on Amazon and thought, why not try. A lot of EX lenses produce great pictures. I took a few hundred pictures, and were said in other reviews the results dissappointing. Some images turned out sharp set, but the majority of them were soft and unuable. I downloaded a calibration data sheet and tested all my lenses. All my Nikon lenses were dead on focus point, but always focused Sigma 3mm short leaving the focus point soft and fuzzy. Yes, you could crank the f-stop to remove the softness, as af / 5 6 But what is the point. I have a cheap Nikon D shoot is @, the light and very good range. The whole point of buying an f / 2 8 is so you can shoot @ 2. 8 in low light conditions and a desire of a small depth of field. Rating: 5.2

I use this lens for my D50 and F100. Works great on both. The focus is a bit slower than Nikkor, but the size, durability and weight of the lens is great for the price. Expect some, if vignetting wide open at 24mm (f2.
to full screen, but do not worry for DX. This should come to my standard zoom lens for many years.

So perhaps I am very happy. My copy of this lens is superb. Yes, there is a difference in the sharpness of the recording is second to 8, but it is still very sharp and when you go smaller than the 4 it’s sharper than comparable Nikon lens Objektiven.Dieses is calm, focused and fast zooms gently on my D80. All three of these things is a problem others have, but I did not have. Cameta has a good try so why not return it for this price? I am glad that I decided to go for it and I feel like it’s one of the best deals in my pocket. Please note: (I have several fast pro Nikon lenses, I do, when my review in comparison, not only other 3rd party lenses) Rating: 5.5
